Short answer
Schools and universities are public-access buildings: above 1,100 litres of waste per week, they must provide pupils and students with containers to sort at least packaging and paper on one side and biowaste on the other. School catering adds the biowaste obligations, and administration those for office paper from 20 people. Where to place the stations
- Foyers and corridors: robust 3-stream stations, easy to empty.
- Food service: a biowaste stream, and sorting suited to clearing trays.
- Playgrounds and surroundings: outdoor stations fixed to the ground.
- Administrative offices: paper stream.
