Short answer
Through the annual recovery certificate: each year before 31 March, the collection, transport, trading or brokerage provider, or the operator of the final treatment facility, issues the waste producer with a certificate for the waste transferred the previous year (article D. 543-284 of the French Environmental Code, template set by the order of 21 December 2021). Who issues it, and when
The service provider (collection, transport, trading, brokerage) or the operator of the final treatment facility, every year before 31 March, for the waste handed over the previous year.
What it is for
It is the proof that sorting obligations are met. Together with sorting containers labelled by stream on site, it forms the file to show in an inspection. See the penalties.
