# What is the price per litre of a professional recycling bin?

## Short answer

In September 2026, the median price of a professional recycling bin is €4.84 excl. VAT per litre of capacity on the French market (PoubelleTri Index, 102 offers of at least 30 L per stream, capacity = number of streams × litres per stream). The ratio is for comparing models of different sizes; it generally falls as volume increases.

## How to use it
Divide the price excl. VAT by the total capacity (streams × litres). A model well above €4.84/L is justified by its material (stainless steel, wood), outdoor use or finish.

## Example
A 3 × 60 L station (180 L) at the median price of €692 excl. VAT for 3-stream stations of 30 to 60 L works out at about €3.85 excl. VAT per litre.
