## How to choose an outdoor sorting station

An outdoor station must withstand rain, impacts and footfall, and be emptied easily by the cleaning team. Five criteria make the difference.

### 1. Volume, based on emptying frequency

### 2. The material
Painted or treated steel, stainless steel, solid wood on a steel frame: wood brings warmth, stainless steel durability, painted steel the choice of RAL colours.

### 3. Fixing and protection
Floor-fixing kit for open sites, rain lids, optional ashtray for smoking areas.

### 4. The number of streams

### 5. Signage
Replaceable pictograms: packaging-waste containers will carry harmonised European labels from 2028 at the earliest ([PPWR regulation](https://poubelletri.fr/en/reponses/etiquetage-harmonise-poubelles-ppwr-2028/)).
